The Lily ShowJune 30th, 2012 Posted in Garden design, West Side
It’s that time of year and Mother Nature has decided to treat us to some pretty colorful flowers.
I unfortunately did not save the names of the lilies. They smell just as pretty as they look- not obnoxious scents like some lilies have.
Here they are in all of their glory. (Thank you, Costco. Yep, really.)
This is a true orange, right down to the pollen.
This lily is so elegant in person. Very subtle.
Lovely combination of soft yellow and pink.
In person, this is actually a soft creamy yellow- like butter.
I was standing when I took this photo- that is how tall and magnificent this lily is. Over twenty blooms on this huge stem. The plum purple cylindrical flower on the left is butterfly bush (Buddleia davidii).
What is blooming in your garden?
