GardenWalk Cleveland

July 18th, 2012 Posted in East Side, Garden design, Ohio City, Tremont, West Side

Kudos to Jan Kious and Bobbi Reichtell, the founders of GardenWalk Cleveland, and their committee members! Inspired by GardenWalk Buffalo in 2010, they decided to launch Cleveland’s very own GardenWalk with the first taking place in 2011 in four Cleveland neighborhoods.

This year, over 200 + private gardens, urban farms, community vegetable gardens, vineyards and orchards are on the self-guided tour. The areas selected are: Brooklyn Centre, Detroit Shoreway, Glenville, Hough, Lee Harvard Miles, Ohio City, Old Brooklyn, Slavic Village, St. Clair Superior, and Tremont. Amazingly, each area has a headquarters where parking, restrooms and water are available.

This will be our first time attending and we look forward with great anticipation to admiring Cleveland’s gardens.

GardenWalk Cleveland runs July 21 and 22, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
